Digital Story 3: Global Clean Water Crisis

This is my third digital story. My digital story is about a major global crisis, which is the global clean water crisis. My digital story will explain the importance of the global clean water crisis, and what we can do to help. I will also discuss the effects of dirty water, and how it's so important to have clean water.

Narrative- Global Clean Water Crisis

 Throughout the world, nearly one billion people suffer without access to clean water. I am Jessica Biel and I strongly support the Clean Water Effect. The Clean Water Effect gives clean water to countries that are in desperate need of water such as certain parts of Africa. Most people believe that every country has access to clean water, but this is not the case. Clean water is much more important then you think. We all know that water is a necessity for the human body. Roughly 70% of the human body is made up of water. Water contains minerals that we need, and it also cleanses our bodies. 

    Have you ever felt thirsty to the point that you were going to faint? We've all felt this way, but it is nothing compared to the people in small tribes in Africa. In Africa, tribes mostly get there water from dirty lakes or rivers. This is a bad idea because the water can be contaminated with garbage, and bacteria. The color of the water is also extremely different. Water is seen as crystal clear, and also very clean. To the small tribes, the water's color is either a light brown, orange, or a dark brown color. This contaminated water can lead to a chain reaction of diseases and poverty. Needless to say, many people are suffering without clean drinking water. We cannot continue to let this happen, so there are many ways that you can do to help. If you donate at least 5$ to organizations such as the Clean Water Effect, or The Water Project, you can help raise money for millions of people to have safe drinking water.  Many organizations have built wells and pipes that store clean water throughout the tribes of Africa. With your help, we can continue to do this and help everyones hygiene and health.

Narrative - Dreams

Narrative

My digital story will be reflecting on my future, and my most important dreams. I am a sophomore at CSIHSIS, and I am terrified when I think about my future. I am only fifteen years old, and there are already thousands of college appications in my room. Most people would find this good, but I'm still shocked that I already have to think about college. Freshman year and sophomore year have passed by so quickly, and soon enough I'll be on my own. Many of my friends already know what they want to be what they grow up, and I'm still figuring out why highschool goes by so fast. In my opinion, I strongly believe that your job should be what you like, or what your interested in. I also don't think that you have to go to college with a specific field. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know that I don't want to have one job with one specific field. I'm interested in many things such as, traveling, pshycology, forensics, martial arts, writing, etc. When I think about the future, I see myself living in Manhattan. I love living in New York City, and I can see myself being a city person. I want to live in a huge condominium Ever since I was about eleven years old, I always loved the huge condominians from the Ikea catalog. I want to desigin my apartment, and have a closet full of clothes. This is one of the many reasons why I want a successful job. In my digital story, I will discuss what I want my future to be. My digital story will not have one specific field that I am interested in, but it will have various things that I want to do when I grow up.
