Narrative

My digital story will be reflecting on my future, and my most important dreams. I am a sophomore at CSIHSIS, and I am terrified when I think about my future. I am only fifteen years old, and there are already thousands of college appications in my room. Most people would find this good, but I'm still shocked that I already have to think about college. Freshman year and sophomore year have passed by so quickly, and soon enough I'll be on my own. Many of my friends already know what they want to be what they grow up, and I'm still figuring out why highschool goes by so fast. In my opinion, I strongly believe that your job should be what you like, or what your interested in. I also don't think that you have to go to college with a specific field. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, but I do know that I don't want to have one job with one specific field. I'm interested in many things such as, traveling, pshycology, forensics, martial arts, writing, etc. When I think about the future, I see myself living in Manhattan. I love living in New York City, and I can see myself being a city person. I want to live in a huge condominium Ever since I was about eleven years old, I always loved the huge condominians from the Ikea catalog. I want to desigin my apartment, and have a closet full of clothes. This is one of the many reasons why I want a successful job. In my digital story, I will discuss what I want my future to be. My digital story will not have one specific field that I am interested in, but it will have various things that I want to do when I grow up.

Digitales Evaluation

The Digitale that I think that is the most globally aware is the digitale, 'Teardrops' by Ali. I think that this author was a global competent because the author discussed pollution and deforestation. Pollution and deforestation is definietely a major global impact, and it still is. To make it more creative, Ali discussed pollution and deforestation in poem. The aspects that were not addressed in her video was the countries that are greatly impacted by pollution and deforestation.

Digital Story 2 Topic

For my second digital story, my topic will be on 80's movies. One of my many interests is 80's movies, and I think that it definietely relates to the CSI Graduate Portofolio. 80's movies shows that I am culturally aware. Because of famous movies in the 80's, the fashion and music definietely changed around the world. Famous movies from the 80's are Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc.

1) What is your Topic: How 80's movies changed fashion, music, and culture.

3)List the major points, facts, events, people, and/or ideas of your story: Famous movies in the 80's (Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, etc.) Famous actors (Molly Ringwald, Matt Broderick, etc.) The major point is how 80's music changed fashion and music around the world

4)Why do you feel this story is important to tell? This story is important to tell because the movies were a major factor in the 80's. The movies showed new ideas for fashion, music, and teenagers started to look up to certain actors. Even now, 80's movies are still showing on TV's around the world.

The changing for telling this story is finding things that started in the 80's. I might like a certain movie or song, but it wasn't started in the 80's.

7) How does your project relate to our CSI Graduate Portfolio?

My project relates to the CSI Graduate Portofolio because it shows that I am culturally aware. 80's movies contributed to things around the world, and that shows that 80's movies became international.

Graduate Portfolio Reflection

 

My first digital story relates to the CSIHSIS graduate portfolio because of two reasons. One reason why my digital story relates to the graduate portfolio is because my digital story shows that I was academically prepared. According to the graduate portfolio, it states, "the student thinks critically and effectively and organizes his or her own efforts to learn." This quote relates to my digital story because before I made it, I organized and planned out my ideas. Before I made my digital story, I had no idea what I was going to do. Instead, I organized my thoughts and put them all together. The second reason why both projects relate to eachother is that both are aware of, "World Events and Global Dynamics." CSIHSIS is an international school, and my digital story is also international. In my digital story, I show world impacts that happened during our decade. CSIHSIS is also a part of many international groups and problems. These two reasons show that my digital story and the graduate portfolio of CSIHSIS are very closely related.
